Food Tour of Hong Kong

February 1, 2012 by Caroline Eaton 2 Comments

We didn’t even begin to scratch the surface of the massive number of delicious food options available in Hong Kong. We weren’t eating any of the fine dining options but searching for food stalls to enjoy along the streets and markets of Hong Kong. Yum.

Did I mention I didn’t see any vegetables all week – I ate noodles, rice and an occasional piece of meat/seafood. It was all fresh and delicious. We ate many broth-based soups that would leave us thirsty but satisfied.

Every morning at Uncle Fong's bakery
Check out the stick of butter!
Josh chose the bacon-wrapped meat as our first meal
Miso soup and eel fried rice
Take one home tonight!
Dumpling and noodle soup
Lemon tea, as modeled by Josh
Noodle soup w/ wonton
Noodles being made fresh right outside the restaurant
Preserved egg and pork congee (rice porridge)
Squid parts on a stick
"Egg cake" (delicious waffle)
Fried noodles
Spicy fish balls
Mango with coconut water and glutinous rice balls
