Working out on the road is tough. Being in a new city you may not know your way around or if where you are running is a safe area. Anytime we get to settle down in a city longer than 3 or 4 days we tend to get back on our workout routine. Especially in a city like Chiang Mai which is safe and easy to navigate. Here is my morning running route in Chiang Mai.
Like I said, simple. The only negative about this run is that if you wait too late in the morning you will be breathing in a lot of exhaust fumes from the busier streets. Another motivation to get out early is the heat is much more forgiving the earlier you get out. Follow the moat around, and make sure to know the road you started on so you can get back easily.
