Foto Friday: Cafe Tortoni in Buenos Aires

September 28, 2012 by Caroline Eaton 2 Comments

Cafe Tortoni is the oldest cafe in Buenos Aires, originally created to be a meeting point for writers and artists, tango musicians, and politicians. Stained glass decorates the ceiling and dark wood fills the room.

I ate here when I was in Buenos Aires. I can’t quite remember what I had, but I’m sure it was delicious, aha! I loved getting to hang out in a restaurant where great writers and artists spent time.

We kept it simple with churros and espresso! The cafe is the perfect place to sit back and people watch!
