For a change, let’s have some fun – we will be starting a weekly “would you rather” question for everyone currently traveling or who have a love of travel to answer and laugh at the comments, ideas and possible disagreements with the differences of opinions. Would You Rather…Sleep in a noisy hostel or Take an ice cold shower?
Ice cold shower for me!
Never! I will put in ear plugs for a noisy hostel – but still enjoy a warm shower if I was given the choice!
Cold shower….. I would rather go through acute pain than go the distance.
I should have seen this coming, you are the queen of would you rather!!! :] When I lived in the ACE house in Santa Cruz it was both-30 people living in one house=noisy hostel and cold showers! But I would choose noisy hostel!
I’ll take the noisy hostel any day because I’m practically deaf.
The cold shower ruins the entire day. I’ve had to experience the cold shower twice in the past year at nice hotels. I’ll take noise any day.

cold shower, having experienced both many times at hostels, i can safely say the short pain of a cold shower is much more tolerable than a noisy hostel and not being able to sleep all night. a little shrinkage never killed anyone!
Noisey hostel! I’m a pretty deep sleeper, so it’d have to be extremely noisey to keep me up. But I could always put in ear phones or my MP3 player to wake me up. If it was a cold shower…I just wouldn’t shower. I literally can’t stand cold showers.
Umm if the ice cold shower is in a nice hotel…. shower-hands down.
Noisy hostel! That’s why I carry earplugs. There are few things worse than an ice cold shower… Well, a scalding hot shower is worse, and yes I have come across that in my travels.
This post makes me so happy!! You know I can come up with some good ones 🙂 Noisy hostel – hands. down. Cold showers are the WORST!! And you’d never be able to shave your legs!!…think about it.
